Managing Connectivity Across Multiple Business Sites

SD-WAN, centralised billing and consistent SLAs — how to stop each branch running its own broadband arrangement.

Consolidate contracts first

Sites acquired at different times usually sit on different providers, terms and speeds. Consolidating onto one agreement with aligned end dates cuts cost and, more importantly, cuts the time spent chasing faults across four support desks.

SD-WAN where it earns its keep

SD-WAN lets branches use cheap broadband with intelligent failover and central policy control. It makes sense from roughly five sites upward; below that, a good router with a backup SIM is usually sufficient.

One escalation path

Whatever the technology, insist on a single support contact who owns faults across every site. Multi-provider estates lose more hours to ticket routing than to actual outages.
