Coverage is uneven
Cardiff, Newport and Swansea have strong full-fibre availability in most commercial areas. Valleys towns and rural Vale of Glamorgan locations can still be limited to slower copper-based services, sometimes on the same street as a fibre-served neighbour.
Check the address, not the postcode
Availability checkers work at premises level. Industrial estates frequently show different results unit by unit, so check the exact address before signing a lease that depends on connectivity.
Options where fibre is not available
Bonded connections, fixed wireless access and 5G routers all serve as viable interim or permanent solutions. A leased line can be built almost anywhere, but expect a longer lead time and an excess construction charge in remoter locations.
